A tailormade honeymoon for AB & Danielle

Around this time last year, AB de Villiers was a man on a mission. With girlfriend Danielle for company, performing well for Royal Challengers Bangalore was not the only objective for him. He had much bigger things to achieve!

The South African batsman had met Danielle six years ago but was still searching for that special venue to pop up the question to his long-time girlfriend. And, what better place than the iconic Taj Mahal, considered the monument of love, to do so.

“That was a very long day and we had a flight early that morning and we drove another five hours from Delhi to Agra,” said de Villers, who tied the knot with Danielle last month.

But there has been little time for honeymoon for the newly married. Two days after the wedding, the SAODI captain had to play for his domestic side, Titans, and then fly to India for RCB duty. Thankfully, for de Villiers, his wife is not the complaining one. “Welcome to our honeymoon in India,” said Danielle with a hearty laugh. "We have been married only 15 days, so the honeymoon is very exciting," she added.

As for AB, he doesn’t want to take the long route to Taj anytime soon. “Don’t think we will do that now, maybe after a few years we will come back again,”he said.
