A tiger has become the first ever to be born without the usual black stripes.

Fareeda, a six-month-old cub, born as a part of a breeding programme to save the White Bengal species, was born pale. This caused excitement amongst the staff members.

The cub was reared at Cango Wildlife Ranch, near Cape Town, South Africa.
Scientifically, cubs develop stripes in different months of their growth period. Some grow in the first few months but Fareeda hasn't grown any since the last six months.
Fareeda is surely the rarest of the rare kind in her species.
