The actor has roped in a fresh starcast for debutante director Anusha Rizvi's Peepli Live. Most of the actors are graduates of the late Habib Tanvir's Naya Theatre.
A source from Peepli Live informs Mumbai Mirror, "It's an all new cast. Aamir attended the casting along with Anusha and selected the guys. He was very keen on having fresh faces. All the actors have graduated from Naya Theatre and come from the interiors of Madhya Pradesh."
Aamir Khan had a wonderful time working with the newbie theatre actors.
"He's extremely attached to Peepli Live as it involves theatre actors. When he met them, AK narrated his own experiences of working backstage and being an assistant," reveals the source.
Produced by Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao, the film is a comic take on farmer suicides. The movie, set in a rural backdrop, talks about how one farmer's life changes when he announces that he might commit suicide.
