Take the case of advocate Rohit Gupta. At 8 in the morning, he takes out his cycle fitted with a loudspeaker, a mike, a pen drive system, a stand and two jhadus (brooms) — one in the front and the other at the back— and starts around the city.

He switches on the mike and out flows the song 'Is baar chalegi jhadu' at full blast. He stops when he sees a crowd and starts campaigning.

"We don't have money to hire cars for campaigning," Gupta said. "We have four cycles — two of them are new and were bought with the donation from party workers We have redesigned and modified them to suit our needs."

"We travel nearly 20-25km on a day by cycle," Chandramani Mishra, a mechanical engineer, who quit his job to work for the AAP, said.

"We campaign from 8am till noon, then take a lunch break before embarking on a second round of campaigning from 5pm to 8pm."

"The cycle is a symbol of the common man," Vinay Rai, another AAP worker said. "We prefer minimum use of vehicles."
