All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union( AAPSU) today said that they would prevent all candidates from filing nominations for the two Lok Sabha seats in the state till names of 1497 Chakma-Hajong refugees were deleted from electoral rolls of three assembly constituencies in the state.

Addressing a press conference after a meeting of the newly elected executive of the students' body here, Byabang Taj , president and Gumjum Haider, general secretary, reiterated that they would stick to their call for 'poll-boycott' and said anybody trying to file nomination ignoring the sentiments of the people of the state would be treated as an opportunist element.
Election is possible only if the refugees' names are deleted from the electoral rolls in Chowkham, Miao and Bordumsa-Diyum constituencies.
