A property dispute was the root of the entire episode. The main accused, Bhura, is yet to be arrested. Police said Bablu Mehani, a resident of Idgah Hills, who runs a private finance company, had shown a piece of land priced around Rs 1 crore to one Shaharyar for sale and had even taken Rs 18 lakh as advance from the latter.

Bhura, a resident of Nishatpura, told Shaharyar that he would get him the money back in lieu of a part of the recovered money. Subsequently, Bhura and his accomplices chased Mehani. They hit his motorcycle and when he fell down they picked him up in their car and drove away.

Two local residents had seen the incident. Police conducted search operations and found that Mehani had a dispute with Shaharya and the accused had taken Mehani to the forests of Kalara.

At night the police chased them from one village to another and the accused later dumped Mehani near Berasia. Bhura and his accomplices had beaten up Mehani. The police have arrested Shaharyar. The hunt is on for Bhura and his accomplices.
