Chief medical officer Dr Shantimal Singhavi has ordered to cut the salary of a lady doctor posted at Bankesar New Primary Health Centre. The doctor was found absent at the New PHC, during the CMO's inspection on Friday.

Dr Singhavi ordered to cut her salary and also sought written explanation from her. The CMO also inspected the OPD and other services at the centre and inquired about the availability of medicines from the patients.
He checked patients' records at the centre.
Talking to HT Allahabad Live, Dr Singhavi said it would be ensured that the medical officers remain present at the community and primary health centres during the duty hours.
