A woman, Khushboo (22), was also injured in the accident. She was riding pillion on Virendra Kumar's (24) Karizma motorcycle when they met with an accident near GIP Mall in Noida.

Declared brought dead on arrival, Kumar's body was sent to the mortuary, while Khushboo was admitted.

Meanwhile, Kumar's family reached the hospital and alleged that the woman's family had got their son killed. They were also furious that his body had been sent to the mortuary.

Late on Tuesday night, over 40 people created a ruckus at the hospital that continued for four hours. They badly beat up a doctor and damaged hospital property. The situation was brought under control only after the arrival of police from Sector 20. Six men were arrested after that and a case registered against them.

The chaos began with the man's family alleging negligence on part of the doctors. They then started looking for Khushboo, holding her responsible for the death. When the doctors tried to hide her, shifting her from one ward to another, they were targeted too.

The man's father has lodged a case of murder, terming his son's death a conspiracy. He said Khushboo's family had thrashed his son on Holi and that they didn't like the two being in a relationship. An inquiry has been ordered into the entire episode.

Meanwhile, Khushboo said Kumar was drunk while driving. "We were going towards Delhi. We had just crossed GIP Mall when another biker overtook us. This made him speed but he lost the control and hit a divider."

Her relatives said there was no reason for them to kill Kumar. "We were the ones who informed his family about the incident. Even Khushboo had a narrow escape," said her relative.

Following the chaos, doctors at the hospital staged a protest on Wednesday morning and went on a strike.
