Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday reiterated his demand to the Centre for according special status to Bihar saying it was not a personal or party demand but that of the common man.
Kumar told reporters in Patna that he would resume his 'Vikas Yatra' from the first week of June and would visit those places that had been left out in the first leg.
Kumar had embarked upon 'Vikas Yatra' on January 20 from Patilar village in West Champaran district but discontinued it once the elections were announced.
Later at a programme in Jehanabad, Kumar thanked voters for giving massive support to NDA candidates in the state.
He said Delhi had earlier approved my demands and now with the Congress forming the government at the Centre it should keep its promise and accord special status to Bihar.
Without naming Lalu Prasad and Ram Vilas Paswan, Kumar said the Central ministers of erstwhile UPA government instead of using their clout for the development of the state only criticised his government's work and paid the price as they were rejected by the people.
Kumar said he had written to the prime minister once again briefing him about the Bihar's road map for development and sought the Centre's assistance in realising the objectives.
