To curb such crimes in the city, the Noida police have decided to follow strict verification norms. The police have formed a cell at each police station to carry out the verification of all the residents in their areas.

Besides, the DM has imposed Section 144 of the CrPC for the next two months to conduct tenant verification in the city. The administration suspects the involvement of many anti-social elements, who take refuge in the district, in such cases.

"A dedicated team has been formed to verify all residents in the area. The verification will be a digital record," said Yogesh Singh, superintendent of police.

The police are trying to get maximum participation from residents to get their servants verified. Later, they will fine people who have not been verified.

On Friday, a servant allegedly murdered his employer at his Bhangel village house in Noida Phase-2. According to the police, Ram Kumar Tyagi, 36, a soft drink distributor, was found with his throat slit. The victim's servant Jitendra, a resident of Bihar, is at large. The victim's family had not carried out Jitendra's police verification.

This is not the first case. In July, a jeweller, Rakesh Gupta, 60, was allegedly murdered by his servants and his neighbour's domestic help.

The police said residents and company owners are reluctant to get their employees verified.

"In most cases, we have found the involvement of servants or security guards. If residents get their staff and servants verified, it will be very easy to locate them," said Singh.
