An Iranian ship has been denied entry at Gujarat's Alang ship-breaking yard following an order from the Bombay High Court, and it had to dock at the nearby Bhavnagar anchorage, official sources said on Wednesday.

The ship, named Rashleigh, was to be dismantled at the Alang yard and it had arrived there on April 9, but the court later issued a direction to maintain status quo until further orders, Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) sources said in Ahmedabad.
The direction reportedly came following a financial dispute among the companies that own the vessel.
The ship came to Alang, India's biggest ship-breaking yard, about 220 km from Ahmedabad, along with 17 crew members consisting of nine Indians, seven Ukrainians and a Russian.
