The Madhya Pradesh High Court chief justice has constituted a two-judge committee to probe the alleged sexual harassment of an additional district judge by one of its own.

According to sources, the move came after a Chief Justice of India RM Lodha asked high court chief justice AM Khanwilkar to initiate an inquiry.

The CJI issued the orders days after he received the complaint by the victim who resigned after no one in the HC paid heed to her pleadings.

"Yes I had asked the Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court to probe into the allegations. I had made the request about four-five days back. I have asked the High Court chief justice to submit a report at the earliest," CJI Lodha told HT.

The alleged victim put in her papers on July 15. However, she did not specify the allegations against the judge in her resignation letter.
