Afzal deserves no mercy

It is sad that the chief minister of J&K and the state as a whole have succumbed to the pressure of the agitators (mostly Pakistan backed) and approached the prime minister for showing mercy to Afzal. No mercy should be shown to him, sentenced to death by the SC. If the President pardons him now, it would set a very bad precedent. A man who has the audacity to participate in the attack on the Parliament should be dealt with severely.

It is really sad that chief minister of J&K and the state as a whole have succumbed to the pressure of the agitators who are mostly Pakistan backed separatists and approached the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for showing mercy to Afzal.

In my opinion, no mercy should be shown to him, who has been convicted by the Supreme Court of India and sentenced to death. If the President pardons him now, it would set a very bad precedent. A man who has the audacity to participate in the attack on the Parliament, the highest institution in the country should be dealt with severely.
