According to sources, Advocate General Bhatia would arrive here on Monday and hold a meeting with the officials concerned over the issue. He would also visit the Magh Mela area and take stock of the situation there.

Sources said Bhatia had decided to appear in this case, as the State Government had taken a serious note of the reported pollution in the Ganga.
To recall, a Division Bench of this court, while hearing a PIL filed by Hari Chetanji Mahraj on January 27, had fixed January 31 as the next date of hearing of the PIL relating to Ganga pollution.
