Multinational companies like ITC, Fortune and Reliance will be invited to exhibit their products at the fair. A meeting was held at the Collectorate on Monday to discuss the fair themes with agriculture, horticulture department officials and district panchayat CEO Ashutosh Avasthi, who has been made fair’s nodal officer.

As per the decision taken at the meeting, the stalls will demonstrate new agricultural techniques and marketing, which will include contract farming, rural marketing and agro processing. Organic cotton will also be exhibited at the fair, as organic farming will be one of the four themes. Textile manufacturers who use organic cotton are being invited to purchase the exhibits.

The stalls selling agricultural implements will have bank counters to provide on the spot loan facilities to buyers. Leading agriculture implement manufacturers from Gujarat and Punjab are expected to exhibit their products at the fair.

The fair aims at providing complete information to cultivators about agriculture, District Collector Vivek Aggarwal said.
