Ahmedabad BJP leader killed

A local BJP leader and a boy were killed allegedly by Congress men on Friday in Lambha village in the city in poll related violence.

A local BJP leader and a 14-year old boy were hacked to death allegedly by Congress workers on Friday evening in Lambha village of the district in poll related violence, police said here.

The deceased had a scuffle with the local Congress worker who later alongwith a group of eight persons armed with lathis and swords attacked Vijay Parmar, a BJP leader and deputy sarpanch of the village.

A 14-year-old boy who intervened in the fight was also seriously injured, according to RB Brahmbhatt, superintendent of Police (Rural).

The BJP leader and the boy succumbed to their injuries in the hospital, police added.
