He gave this reply when reporters asked him about the Left party leaders' remarks that they would have poll tieup with AIADMK if it was in a secular front.

On Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram's remarks that he felt bad about PMK's exit from DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance, he said "if somebody snaps their ties with us,it is quite obvious that anyone would feel bad about it".

Asked about the power crisis in the state, Karunanidhi said that the power shortage is not only in Tamil Nadu but it is also there in other states.

"Last year also during this time the state had acute power shortage", he said.

On the diesel shortage in city, he said that it was "unavoidable."
