ALL INDIA Kisan Mazdoor Sabha (AIKMS) activists would hold a demonstration at Nevada Block of Kaushambi district on Friday demanding electricity in Jalalpur, Madaripur, Gohti and Tarapur villages and getting them included in Allahabad district instead of Kaushambi.
Other demands to be raised include a call for fairness in distribution of pension and ration cards in which, they claim, there has been massive corruption.
Jalalpur, Madaripur, Gohti and Tarapur villages had electricity connections till 4 years back when the wires got broken in a storm and after which the department concerned has failed to reconnect them. The activists said that officials concerned claim some wires were stolen.
Incidentally, these villages are the only ones, which are under district Kaushambi and under Thana Kareli, which falls under Allahabad district. Geographically too they are surrounded on all sides by villages which fall under Allahabad. The demonstration will also demand filling up of the four vacant posts of teacher in Jalalpur School, which has only one teacher against the 5 sanctioned posts.
