India had voted in support of the referral of the Iranian nuclear issue to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

AIMF president Nehaluddin and general secretary Sayeed Arshad Azmi alleged the decision was taken under the US pressure.

"India -- the world's largest democracy -- has once again reconciled itself to enslavement to the sole superpower, at a time when the entire third world bloc was eager to witness its role as their leader," the AIMF leaders observed in a statement here.

They maintained, "Although, our government would be happy with what it may be considering as the height of its shrewd diplomacy and graceful statesmanship, the omens visible at the horizon of world politics indicate the history will not forgive us for playing our role towards strengthening American global terrorism.

"The statement said the government had proved it was "weaker even than Syria, Cuba and Venezuela -- the states which openly voted against referring the Iran issue to the UNSC and thus saved the honour of their conscience by not following the US mandates."
