The Air Force Station Jammu carried out intensive cleanliness campaign under the national endeavour 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.'
Besides the air force personnel, their families and children also participated in the campaign with great enthusiasm.
Various events were held on Thursday at the station to ensure cleanliness. The day began with all personnel taking 'Swachhta Shapath'. This was followed by essay and slogan writing competition. The winners were awarded with prizes by Air Commodore Ashutosh Lal. On the occasion, a nukkad natak was also staged by the students of Air Force School to draw public attention towards the importance of cleanliness in a civilised society. The day culminated with 'Shramdan' by all personnel and their families wherein all participated enthuastically to clean the surroundings.
