After missing out on the first Test, All-India Radio (AIR) on Wednesday clinched the broadcast rights for the rest of the India-England cricket series.

The second Test which begins at Mohali on Thursday will be available at 65 mw and four FM Gold Channels of AIR, a senior official of the public broadcaster said.

AIR was deprived of the running commentary of the first Test after it rejected the Nimbus offer amounting to $3,00,000 (for the entire series) as "too high".

"After further negotiations, we managed a breakthrough and bagged the rights at mutually-beneficial rates," the official said.

The remaining part of the series has two more Test matches and seven one-day internationals.
