Cellular operator Airtel Thursday on announced its talktime transfer service enabling its pre-paid subscribers to transfer talk time from one mobile to another.

"The talktime transfer service marks the beginning of a new world order where customers have the option to exchange calling value like any other commodity," CEO and director of Bharti Cellular Ltd Sanjay Nandrajog said in a statement in New Delhi.
While the concept is most relevant in emergency situations, it would also be of great value to those who are low users of talktime, he said, adding that service would be available in Delhi as of now.
To begin with, a subscriber can transfer talktime worth Rs 100 only once in a day. However, a customer can receive unlimited talktime from other pre-paid customers.
