Two top district officials have been suspended for alleged negligence during Thursday's communal violence.
Meanwhile, the death toll has gone up to six, with the recovery of two more bodies on Friday.
The city Superintendent of Police SK Verma and Additional District Magistrate Satya Bhan had been placed under suspension on charges of laxity, official sources said.
The district administration, however, did not confirm the recovery of two more bodies but hospital sources said the bodies were brought on Friday morning.
A fresh incident of brick batting was reported in Bhujpura locality this morning, sources said.
Curfew continued in five police station areas of the town and jawans of CRPF, RAF and PAC along with the civil police were patrolling the streets.
Top police and civil officials, including State Director General of Police Bua Singh, were camping in Aligarh to monitor the situation which was described as "under control".
Tight security arrangements have been made in the city in view of the Friday prayers with security personnel in strength deployed in all sensitive areas.
