All 70-plus politicos should retire

Is it a joke on the part of King to ask an ailing 84-year person to take oath as PM? It is time for Koirala to move away from all worldly matters and lead a life in retirement. Aged politicians are greedy and power mongers. Koirala should go into vanaprastha. The same holds true of some of the Indian politicians who are over 70 years. They would never entertain new ideas or aggressive policies.

Is it a joke on the part of King to ask an ailing 84-year person to take oath as Prime Minister? It is time for Koirala to move away from all worldly matters and lead a life in retirement.

Aged politicians are greedy and power mongers. Koirala should go into vanaprastha. Perhaps one has to assure state funeral or ceremonial send-off before these politicians leave their aspirations. In all his years as PM Mr Koirala has never groomed a younger person to take over the mantel of prime minister.

The same holds true of some of the Indian politicians who are over 70 years. They are not helpful for the progress of the country and would never entertain new ideas or aggressive policies.
