The lone unclaimed body at the civil hospital in Anandpur Sahib on Monday is that of a 45-year-old man, Ropar police chief RN Hoke told PTI this evening.

He said remaining bodies have been taken back to their native places in Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh by their kins.

The highest number of dead--60--are from Patiala district of Punjab, officials said in Anandpur Sahib.

While 15 pilgrims from Haryana lost their lives, the number of dead from Himachal Pradesh was ten.

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who visited the injured in the hospital, assured the people that Punjab government, in coordination with Himachal Pradesh administration, will evolve a system to ensure "maximum safety" for pilgrims visiting the shrine in near future.

Meanwhile, all the 47 injured admitted to the civil hospital here had been discharged after the medical treatment, officials said.
