BJP MLA Ravindra Chavan said, “In its survey notice, the MIDC asked flat owners to produce documents of ownership, lease or transfer and pay transfer fees as per current market rates. This has angered 8,000 residents of Milapnagar, Sudarshannagar and Sudamanagar in Dombivli.”

“Also, areas that come under gram panchayats are charged Rs7.22 per thousand litres of water when it should be Rs3.75,” he added.

Anuradha Mandape, area inspector, MIDC Thane, has received the memorandum.
