Presence of all-rounders like Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik give the hosts a distinct edge over the visiting Indian team, so believes Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer.

"In terms of combination, Pakistan have an edge having all rounders like Shahid Afridi, Razzaq, Shoaib Malik and Rana Naveed-ul-Hasan in the side," Woolmer told the Associated Press of Pakistan.

Woolmer said he was happy with the performance of Pakistani young turks in the Test series, but warned them that one-day cricket was a different proposition altogether.

"I am very much satisfied the way the young players performed during the Test Series, but one-day is a different form of game, and it needs different strategies," he said.

The coach had a good look at the pitch here and said that although the wicket looked to be batsman-friendly he was not sure how the track will play when the two sub-continental rivals take the field on Monday in the first of the five-match ODI series.

"I observed the pitch and it was excellent, but I am not sure how it would behave on the day," Woolmer said.
