Former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh has accused Rajya Sabha MP and Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan for creating misconception between him and the Samajwadi Party, in an interview to CNN-IBN. Singh said this while talking about events that took place after his expulsion from the Samjwadi party.

Singh further said that Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan had earlier warned him of consequences of indulging in politics with Jaya Bachchan.

Barely a fortnight after sharing the dais with Samajwadi Party (SP) president Mulayam Singh Yadav, Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh called on the SP chief again at his residence on Tuesday, raising speculation about his comeback to the party.

The duo was joined by chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and PWD minister Shivpal Singh Yadav. While senior party leaders refused to comment on this encore, Singh dodged the question too.

“I wonder what the brouhaha is all about. I may have left the party but have always shared good relations not only with Mulayam Singh Yadav but also with Shivpal, Akhilesh and Dimple, who are more like a family to me,” Singh said.
