BJP chief Amit Shah on Tuesday carried out a major reshuffle of the organisational assignments of office bearers, giving important assignments to performer and bringing in new faces.
Rajasthan leader OP Mathur — who as election in-charge in Maharashtra polls won allocades — was given charge of Uttar Pradesh, a job that Shah himself looked after during LS polls.
General secretary JP Nadda, who lost to Shah in the race to BJP’s presidency, got the charge of party ruled Rajasthan and Maharashtra.
Former union minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy will now expand the party’s base in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. General secretary Bhupendra Yadav has been given Bihar’s assignment.
