One must always help others. That will give one a great sense of happiness and satisfaction. These were the last statements of the old school teacher when the class was over.
The students ran hurriedly towards the door to enjoy those free moments. The students were chattering in small groups and whispers and laughter from different directions made the entire milieu bustling.
But there was a student who was sitting alone and thinking about the last sentence the teacher quoted. He was a student from a humble family with limited means.
He kept pondering over it before the next class started. Soon the day got over and the student started for home. It was normally a deserted route but today there was an unusual crowd and uneasiness around.
The student made his way into the crowd. There was an old woman who was bleeding profusely. There were scores of people standing and yet none of them did anything to help the woman in any way.
The boy rushed to the nearest hospital and briefed the doctor there about the incident and returned with an ambulance to help the bleeding woman. Together, they rushed the woman to the hospital.

The next day, he saw the principal with a few people standing at the gate of the school with a bouquet. “You saved our mother and we owe you everything”, one of them said.
There were tears in the eyes of the people around him and they were thanking him profusely. The student had a great sense of satisfaction as the words of the old teacher echoed in his mind.
