CHIEF SECRETARY NC Bajpai on Saturday said officials who maintained a lackadaisical attitude towards the polio immunisation drive would be awarded an adverse entry in the service book and lose a day’s salary.

Bajpai reviewed preparations for the polio immunisation drive scheduled on November 12. He said all the officers and employees should ensure that all the children were immunised.

Along with deputing trained personnel at the vaccination booths, the government would take help from gram pradhans, panchayat members, anganwadi workers and employees of the Block Development Department to make the drive a success.

Principal secretary, Medical Health, Arun Kumar Mishra said Health Department officers deputed at the divisional headquarters were appointed a nodal officer for the vaccination programme. Accredited Social and Health Assistant (ASHA), ANMs and anganwadi workers have been directed to enlist all the children in the age group of zero to five years for immunisation.
