Eminent city-based pathologist, Dr PK Gupta has decided to celebrate Rakhi in a unique way this year. Continuing from his last year’s “tie Rakhi to trees’ campaign last year, Dr Gupta has set up a stall displaying “environment- friendly” rakhi at the Money Monta complex near SGPGI from Thursday. The rakhis are to be distributed to children free of cost.

The Rakhis would be unique for they would bigger than the usual ones. “They are to be tied to the trees. I had undertaken a similar campaign last year too but this year there are several things that are different. One, the campaign is bigger. And two in the run up to Rakhi, scores of children would take out an environment march from GPO to SGPGI. All along the route they would be tying rakhi to every tree that falls in the way,” Dr Gupta told HT Lucknow Live.

“We are very serious about promoting the environment awareness among people,” he added.
