What’s the full form of PDA? Many a time even before quizmaster finishes the question, the participating teams at the TCS IT wiz give the answer and pile up scores. But, occasionally rush of blood and the zeal for scoring more marks caused damage to the team as well as the team interrupted the quizmaster from finishing the question.
Conducted by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the regional round of TCS IT wiz held at Ravindralaya auditorium saw some anxious moments in the final round. And the team that patiently held their nerve made it to the national finals is CMS, Rajajipuram. The winners—Prakhar Singh and Anshuman Saxena—both XII standard immediately called on their computer teacher on stage to share the joyous moment.
It was a close finish. The team of CMS, Gomti Nagar, narrowly missed to make it to the finals. Students of Rani Laxmibai School had to content with third position while ther fourth place was jointly shared by Spring Dale and Seth MR Jaipuria.
Principal secretary IT and Electronics, UP Zohra Chatterji, IIM-L director Prof Devi Singh and regional manager TCS, Lucknow Jayant Krishna gave away the prizes.
The winning team received a host of goodies and trophies from TCS and flight tickets to Mumbai. They will receive their laptops from TCS CEO during the national finals. The runners-up received a nano I-pod each. All the six participating teams of the final round walked away with travel bags, T-shirts, CD case, travel mug, etc.

The duo said that the future of the state and the country is very bright. Jayant Krishna said: “This is a unique way to ignite talent in young minds. The event aims at to spot the brilliant brains in Lucknow and project the future IT wizards to the outside world.”
Not only questions were fielded to the participating team, but in a bid to keep the audience lively the quizmaster Giri Balaubramaniam tested the intellect and the sharpness of the audience by directing questions at them as well.
