Andy Keshav Shenoy: The Indian American businessman and community leader has been appointed as United States State Governor's special adviser for South Asian Affairs.

Karan K Bhatia: President George Bush announced his nomination as deputy US trade representative with the rank of ambassador. Bhatia currently serves as assistant secretary of aviation and international affairs at the Department of Transportation.

Piyush BobbyJindal: He has been declared the ‘Man of the Year’ by leading ethnic weekly Indians Abroad. Jindal happens to be the only second Indian-American to be elected to the US Congress.

Lakshmi Niwas Mittal: With a whopping worth of $25 billion, the London-based steel baron has been named the third richest man on the planet. He has been given the 'Asian Achiever' award for 2005 instituted by a leading Asian media house. He recently became South Africa's richest man ousting the Oppenheimer and Rupert families.

UpendraChivukula: He is the first Asian Indian American elected to the New Jersey State Assembly and the fourth Indian American in the US to be elected to state office. He is currently serving his third term in the State Assembly representing the 17th district. Chivukula has a BEE from Guindy’s Engineering College, India and is a longtime resident of Franklin Township.
