Immigration officials said she arrived at the small Walvis Bay airport on a chartered flight on Apr. 4 with her boyfriend Brad Pitt and their two adopted children, Maddox and Zahara.

There were five other passengers on the flight.

A reporter for the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation who did not want to be named told Reuters they were staying at a luxury beach lodge near the coastal town of Swakopmund.

"The roads around the lodge have been closed and people are complaining," the reporter said.

US tabloids say Jolie and Pitt's baby is due on May 18. International tabloids had earlier speculated that Jolie wanted to give birth in France, where her French mother is dying from cancer.

Jolie first visited Namibia to film "Beyond Borders" in Swakopmund in 2002, the year she took legal custody of Cambodian-born Maddox.

The Namibian newspaper said police were approached by Jolie's staff a month ago over security during their stay.
