THE MUCH needed demand of the citizens to have all necessary information of Allahabad Nagar Nigam on internet is likely to be fulfilled soon, the reason being that NN Administrator and District Magistrate Amrit Abhijat has taken an initiative to get the Allahabad Nagar Nigam website developed.The main objective is to build a database on houses located under municipal area, tax liabilities due to the corporation and defaulters, death and birth registrations, generation of instantaneous reports etc, as well as web-enabling some of its activities.
The two major activities of house tax collection and issuance of birth and death certificates may be carried out through a single window enquiry/payment system. House tax payments can also be made through internet via NetBanking.
The website plan should have been implemented seven years ago when the State government had selected the city for smart city project. However, now once again the citizens are looking up to the administrator to take up this task on a priority basis.
Interestingly , the National Informatics Centre has also not incorporated the basic details of ANN on its official website. Meanwhile, a company based in Lucknow is assisting the NN in launching of website within the next few weeks.
All the information like the setting up of the Nagar Nigam, mayor, commissioner, council, departments, organizations, zonal offices, citizen services like application forms, tenders, property tax, registered colonisers list, unregistered colonisers’ list, nazul licencees, health, streetlight, house tax, house assessments, future plans and other necessary information would be available on internet.
