Annual income of displaced J&K families revised

Haryana cabinet on Wednesday decided to revise the norm of annual income of displaced families from Kashmir and also that of the tenure of giving financial assistance to such families.

Haryana cabinet on Wednesday decided to revise the norm of annual income of displaced families from Kashmir and also that of the tenure of giving financial assistance to such families.

It was decided to increase the maximum annual income from all sources of the displaced families from Kashmir from the present level of Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh per annum.

Also, it was decided that the financial assistance be given for five years instead of the present tenure of two years. The financial assistance would be given at a rate of Rs 1,000 per month per member of the family subject to a maximum assistance of Rs 5,000 per month per family.
