The call was received at the police control room around 4.50 pm on Monday. The caller was a man.

Police swung into action and traced the call to a mobile phone owned by a woman living in Malappuram district. A case has been registered.

Of late, Achuthanandan's security has been beefed up since a man barged onto the stage at a function attended by the chief minister in Thiruvananthapuram last month.
