Adobe India CEO Naresh Gupta's son was rescued from his kidnappers after five days when he returned home in an auto-rickshaw on Friday.

"We have nabbed Chattrapal, who lives close to Anant's home. We have found two mobile phones and a country-made pistol from him," said Rajesh Kumar Singh Rathore, a senior superintendent of police.

"He was planning to go out of Noida when he was arrested. He was hiding in a drain near his house," he added.

Rathore claimed that Chattrapal, who worked in a Mother Dairy booth situated close to Anant's house in the Sector 15-A area, co-conspired with the three other accomplices.

Another accused in the case named Vijay was detained. "Vijay was not arrested, but detained. We are questioning him," he added.

Rathore said that within a few hours of Anant's return, they had arrested Jitendra and recovered the ransom - Rs 5 million - paid for Anant's release.

Rathore said the police had identified all the four accused within eight hours of the kidnapping through an electronic surveillance of mobile phones. "We had identified their numbers and were closely monitoring their movements."
