Six of his centuries have come on home turf, three in England, two in New Zealand, and one each in Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, the West Indies, Zimbabwe and now in Bangladesh.

In other words, 12 of his centuries have come during foreign tours and only six at home, which is an indicator of how useful Dravid has been to the team since making his Test debut at Lord's in 1996.

The 31-year-old completed his century soon after the tea interval on the first day of the Test at MA Aziz stadium in Chittagong.

The Indian vice-captain's overall average on foreign soil has been much better than his average at home. Before the Chittagong Test started on Friday, he had an away average of 62.58 and 50.17 at home.

The Bangalore-based player has missed a single Test since making his debut in 1996. He is currently playing his 86th match.
