"Discovered on Monday afternoon, it has already spread across the world and large number of infections have been reported from all parts of the world," a statement by Bangalore-based Proland Software Pvt Ltd said.

The virus arrives with a subject chosen from a predefined set maintained by the worm and these predefined texts are associated with frequently used file names to confuse the user.

"The worm tries to match the name of the infected attachment and the email subject so that the email appears to be a genuine one," it said.

The email contains a fake "From" address, picked up from the infected system and the body of the infected mail consists of random sentences, picked from a pre-defined list.
