“We would invest up to Rs 1,000 crore by the end of this financial year towards the completion of our affordable residential projects,” said Pranav Ansal, vice chairman and managing director Ansal API.

He added that the company is already in talks with a couple of PE (private equity) funds and banks for the finances.

The company is developing affordable housing projects at Lucknow, Greater Noida, Sonepat, Panipat, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Ajmer.

“There is a robust demand for affordable and mid-income houses which is expected to continue in future.” Ansal said.

He said that the company also plans to launch new commercial projects in the next financial year. “The economy is looking good and hence the demand for quality commercial space is set to increase,” he said.
