“(Our) opposition will try to change this agenda. Don’t cooperate with them in doing so. They will duck the leadership referendum and run away from it and they will give some ideological slogans to avoid the anti-incumbency factor,” said the leader while speaking at the National Workshop: Media, Social Media and Information Technology, organised by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in Kanpur.

He called attention to the response at Narendra Modi’s Trichy rally. “There was a huge crowd. This is a signal of change. These are not the ordinary crowds — disillusioned people are looking for hope. So, the people have high expectations from us”, he said.

The BJP has appointed the Gujarat CM Modi as its prime ministerial candidate for the next general elections.
