Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher will lend his voice for Shashi Ranjan's next flick Dhoom Dhadaka, a comedy that is an Indo-Pakistan co-production.

"My producer-director informed me that he wants me to sing, and I said why not? I love singing," Anupam told IANS. "I've earlier sung for Laxmikant-Pyarelal in Mera Pati Sirf Mera Hai and a limerick for Yash Chopra's Vijay. Then I also sang for a film directed by K. Pappu."<b1>

Anupam says singing is his passion. "I'd say my calibre of singing falls between bathroom and professional singing. I grew up listening to film songs and they were my introduction to Hindi cinema.

"In fact if you listen closely to Lataji's songs, all the emotions expressed in the acting for our cinema are to be found there. But my best singing was reserved for when I was courting Kirron. I think my gala (throat) really opened up then."

Roop Kumar Rathod has composed Anupam's song for the film.
