The film was scheduled to be released in the state on Friday.

The decision to ban the film's screening was taken after considering representations from various minority organisations calling for such an action on the ground that it would hurt the religious sentiments of Christians.

"After taking into consideration the reports and complaints from minority community, particularly Christians, the government has come to conclusion that exhibition of the film is likely to cause breach of peace and hurt religious sentiments," the government order issued in Hyderabad said.
