There are only 22 private MDS seats available in the State at the Modern Dental College, Indore. The entrance exam will be called Postgraduate Dental Admission Test (PDAT)-2007.

The APDMC has given a detailed proposal in this regard to Justice Chandresh Bhushan Committee for monitoring admissions to private professional colleges to seek the committee’s approval to hold the exam. Last year, the same exam was conducted by the association under the supervision of the monitoring committee headed by the director of medical education set up by the State Government.

The presentation of the association before Justice Bhushan Committee is scheduled for January 12 when the association will be putting forth all details regarding conducting the exams.

Association sources told Hindustan Times that a preliminary presentation was made before the Judge’s Committee on December 22, but some lacunae were pointed out and fresh proposals sought.

Justice Chandresh Bhushan said efforts would be made to ensure the exams were totally foolproof. The decision would be taken after the presentation, he said.
