The police on Monday questioned six Apollo doctors. While sources said the hospital could be in the dock, Manish Aggarwal, additional DCP (New Delhi), said their main concern was to confirm the circumstances in which Rahul and Vivek Moitra were brought to the hospital and the treatment given to them. In the past few days, questions have been raised about the hospital's intention.

For one, it delayed in reporting the case to the police even as it held a press conference on Rahul's state. Then Anupam Sibal, medical director, denied the presence of "identifiable drugs" in Rahul's test reports -- a fact contradicted by a report of a private lab. Finally on Sunday, Apollo refused to allow the police to question Rahul. Legal experts said doctors were liable to be prosecuted if it was proved that they had given false reports to protect the offender.
