Apollo Hospitals Q2 net up three-fold at Rs 50 cr

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd on Wednesday posted a three - fold jump in net profit that stood at Rs 50.2 crore for the quarter ended September 30 as compared to Rs 16.9 crore for the same period last year.

In a filing on the Bombay Stock Exchange, Apollo Hospitals said total income in its audited results had increased by 22.5 per cent to Rs 223.4 crore for the latest quarter as against Rs 182.4 crore for the same period last fiscal.

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd has approved the allotment of 10.39 lakh equity shares to selected promoters upon conversion of share warrants allotted to them on June 3, 2005.

After the proposed allotment of shares, the paid up share capital of Apollo Hospitals will be increased to Rs 51.63 crore from Rs 50.59 crore.
