Mango, which has been stocking boyfriend jeans for women for the last two seasons declares it a big hit with the young girls who are up-to-date with international trends. Shashank Jani, GM Operations, Major Brands, says, "The sale of these jeans have increased from the last season as the trend is slowly becoming popular. We display four to five different styles of this cut."

However, some feel Delhi girls are not yet catching on to the trend. Manjula Tiwari, COO, Esprit says, "The style is not popular in India yet, as skinny and straight fits continue to be in vogue.” Pragiti Chauhan, an LSR college student, however, says, “I have seen many in college sporting this new loose slouchy denims or boyfriend jeans.”

Tips to wear them right
The term refers to a style of denims which is tight around the rear but relaxed in the legs.
Choose the widest belt you can that will still fit through your pant loops.
Ballet flats, Converse-style shoes or strappy sandals can work with boyfriend jeans
Keep the style simple with a fitted tee, a button-down shirt, a cardigan, or a small-knit sweater.
Remember that unlike the name it doesn’t mean you actually wear your Boyfriend’s jeans. It’s a cut specially designed for girls.
