Arms, ammunition missing from CRPF camp in Bihar

It was detected during a routine inspection by a havildar of the central paramilitary force.

An AK-47 rifle and 60 rounds of ammunition were reported missing from a CRPF camp on Thursday evening.

Deputy Superintendent of Police AK Gupta said the weapon and ammunition were said to be missing from the CRPF camp in the BR Ambedkar Bihar University campus.

It was detected during a routine inspection by a havildar of the central paramilitary force, Gupta said.

A case has been registered and efforts were on to recover the weapon and cartridges, he said.
